In 1974, D. Vicente Zamora and his wife Domina Visitation Fernández acquired the property where you can now find our restaurant and Meson (Traditional) Bar located - originally it was a small bar known as "The Meson Madera". The original name sprung from the activity of D. Vicente Zamora – who was working in the wood trade.
With the passage of time the business grew - but managed to maintain the essence of the traditional kitchen under the expert supervision of Domina Visitation. In 2002, Vicente Zamora and his brother Antonio, took over the business and initiated a new phase with the restructuring and the enlargement of the property.
Currently the gastronomic offering also covers the more traditional deep-rooted dishes of our history - and so has given rise to a truly cosmopolitan kitchen. The quality of our product is exceptional because of the privileged position of Otivar, as a sub-tropical oasis situated, and hidden, between the coast and the mountains. Thus we are able to offer the best of both the land and of the sea at our tables.
